Dr Chris Forbes is a Senior Lecturer in Ancient History at Macquarie University, and Deputy Chairman of the Society for the Study of Early Christianity. His fields of research and teaching focus on New Testament history, Alexander the Great and Hellenistic history, Graeco-Roman History of Ideas and the intersection of early Christianity and Graeco-Roman culture.
He came into CPX to explain how historians view references to Jesus in the works of Josephus.

At the 4:30 mark (and also hinted at 1:35), I don't think the consensus is that the Testimonium was edited "in the eight or ninth century, or possibly a little bit earlier". Eusebius quotes the full Testimonium in his Church History early in the fourth century, so I imagine that the consensus would be that it was edited in the second or third century.on January 1, 1970

It is clear that the consensus Dr Forbes refers to is that the Testimonium Flavianum contains a real Josephan text which has been edited. The 'eighth or ninth century' reference was obviously parenthetical. But you are right to point out the dating problem.
