Lives of Faith

The Centre for Public Christianity requires contributors to register and post under their REAL NAME (First name and Surname ) for reasons of accountability.

Registered members are welcome to post comments, but please keep them on-topic and civil. No unsolicited advertising is allowed. All comments, suggestions, bug reports, etc. related to comments should be directed to the info[at]publicchristianity[dot]org

As the publisher, Centre for Public Christianity could be held legally liable for comments posted. We believe it is helpful to create an environment where contributors are held accountable for their comments, and requiring people to post under their real names helps ensure that this is the case.

All messages posted at this site express the views of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the owners and administrators of this site.

Registered members agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, comments, or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.

Additionally, Centre for Public Christianity reserves the right to remove material in the following circumstances:
1. When the material is considered to be offensive or in poor taste
2. When the material is considered to be needlessly repetitive or argumentative
3. When the material is considered to be defamatory, libelous or otherwise legally actionable
4. When the material relates to a minor and the consent of a parent or guardian has not been granted
5. When the material is demonstrably inaccurate or based solely on rumour or hearsay.

In the event that a registered member knowingly defames another person or infringes the general guidelines for posting listed above, Centre for Public Christianity will take action to remove the post and deal appropriately with the offending member. Contraventions will result in a warning with the potential for a ban depending on the severity. Repeated infringements will result in a permanent ban, with the commenter’s service provider being informed in the most serious cases. The IP address of all comments is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.

Registered members accept that the site’s webmaster and administrators have the right to edit, move or close any topic at any time in the application of these guidelines and the smooth running of the site. Changes, developments and additions to this policy may also be made without notice. Members are encouraged to use the ‘report’ facility associated with every comment to notify administrators of any post they believe contravenes the site’s posting policy. While the site’s administrators will attempt to remove or edit any objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message and delays are to be expected, particularly when reports are being investigated.

Registered members agree to any information they enter being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without their consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. This comment system uses cookies to store information on the user’s local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information members have entered; they serve only to improve service.

All registered members will have agreed to be bound by these conditions as part of the process of submitting their applications.
