If Christianity is true – or as far as that goes, if, say, Judaism is true, if theism is true – then there is God, who has created both us human beings and also the world. Given that God has created the world, one would expect the world to be reasonable and organised and such that knowledge could in fact be had of it. And given that God has created human beings in his image, you would expect him to create them in such a way that they could know about themselves and about their surroundings and about their world. So while Christianity doesn’t strictly entail that science be successful or that there would be such a thing as science, it certainly is very welcoming to it. It fits in really well with it.
