Individually students finish the sentence “Freedom means…” in a personal journal or on a doc (or for a more collaborative approach use a Digital Discussion Platform).

Display the Westpac Billboard and discuss its idea of freedom, before students create a mind map for the word ‘FREEDOM’ in small groups.

Students individually write a definition of freedom which can be shared with a neighbour. This can be used to feed into a class discussion which produces a shared definition of freedom.
