For the Love of God

Description

Christianity has a mixed legacy. Explore 'the good, the bad and the ugly' of Christian history.

'For the Love of God' is a CPX documentary that confronts the worst that Christians have done, and traces the origins of Western values like human rights, charity, and non-violence back to the influence of Jesus.

These resources, produced in partnership with several teachers, contain suggested activities for use in high-school classrooms, based on one or more of the documentary's segments.

Overview

If you would like to do a series on For the Love of God in your classroom, we’ve got a suggested 10 lesson outline below. There are also a range of other lessons we’ve developed using clips from the documentary. You can build your own unit from these topics and the supplementary material which can be found here.

Learning Activities

If you’re not sure which segments to choose or which order to cover them in, we’ve put together one possible 10-week plan (out of the many options!) that you could use.
